Men Grooming Tips
This is a BIG must for every man, grooming. The way you groom yourself, is the way you feel, and people see you hygienically. Here’s just some basics every man should apply in their lives:
Shaving- Shave your facial hair with a razor with maximum 2 blades for a softer shave, the less blades it has, the softer. And you know the rest of the steps… (shaving gel, after shave,etc.).- Moisturize- Moisturize your whole body, or if you’re a little lazy, just moisturize the most important parts: hands, arms and face (if you have oily skin, don’t apply in the facial area). Spread sunblock in your face (maximum SPF+30), it gives vitamins and protects your face from sun and many other things. Your lips should be moisturized as well, carry a lip balm always with you (in your murse), specially in cold weather.
- Nails- Always keep them short and clean, clip them whenever you need to, if you travel a lot, carry the grooming kit always with you (just make sure to put it in the check-in bag, remember you can’t carry sharp items in you carry-on bag, security will confiscate it). If you have a little more money to spend or you just want your nails more nicely done, go every week to a manicurist to get them done for you.
- Dry hair-You have 2 options: 1. Get a really good hair stylist and make him do something that’ll deff work 2. Treat it-> don’t wash it with shampoo every day, only once a week, and condition it everyday with a good conditioner (you need to buy a conditioner according to your hair type). Apart from that, use a hydrating product for your hair every day to style it. Don’t use more than 2 hair products (conditioner and shampoo don’t count) at a time, too many hair products can cause hair damage, or your hair can even start falling apart (not immediately, but it will happen later) PS: Seek a dermatologist for professional help, I DON’T HAVE A PhD.
Eyebrows- Majority of men have this problem, huge eyebrows that look like sponges, some of them even have a “mono brow” which doesn’t look good…. just go to a specialist (at spas, unisex hairdressing place,…) and let them do the work.
- Chest hair- Okay… Usually it’s something that bothers other people in the beach or someplace where you get to expose your body in such way. Personally, I really dislike chest hair, although, there are people that say that chest hair is sexy… I don’t want to go against that kind of practice, but, everyone has different kinds of fettishes… I’ll have to accept it… In case you have lot’s of chest hair and want to remove it, I suggest you to wax it or laser it, shaving it will be a pain in the arse! ‘Cuz you’ll have to shave it everyday! But really, chest hair isn’t much of a big problem, mainly because majority of the day you’re wearing clothes on, on winter that hair is pretty handy!
- Hair- take care of your hair, you don’t have to use hundreds of hair products to keep it in good condition, in fact, that may damage your hair. Try to eat healthy (by healthy I don’t mean vegetables, eat what you regularly eat, just don’t abuse in fatty substances), rather use wax instead of gel to mold it, wax gives your hair a much more natural look and doesn’t damage your hair as much. And keep your hair clean.
- Exfoliation- Exfoliate your face every morning with the correct substance, this removes dead cells on the surface of the skin. If you see that the exfoliating product you’re using is causing some kind of reaction on your skin, go to a dermatologist immediately.
